Bill is a seasoned lawyer based in Calgary, bringing over 49 years of legal experience to his clients. His diverse practice covers a broad range of areas including intellectual property (patents, trademarks, and copyright), civil litigation, residential and commercial real estate transactions, wills and estates, probate applications, and estate administration.

Bill is particularly well known for his intellectual property work, a field in which he has built a distinguished reputation. His deep knowledge and decades of experience make him a rare and valuable resource not only in Calgary but across Western Canada—where he may well be one of the most experienced IP lawyers in the region. He takes great pride in helping inventors protect their innovations, guiding them through the process of registering patents and trademarks both in Canada and internationally.

Outside of his legal career, Bill leads a fulfilling personal life. He is married and has two grown daughters and seven grandchildren in his blended family. An avid motorcyclist, skier, hiker, and reader, Bill also follows motorsports passionately—especially NASCAR and Formula One. A longtime military aviation enthusiast, he enjoys attending airshows featuring elite demonstration teams like the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.

A committed community member, Bill has been an active Rotarian for 35 years with the Rotary Club of Calgary Chinook, where he has also served as a director.

Bill strongly believes in the power of the law to uplift individuals and resolve conflicts. His approach to civil litigation emphasizes efficiency and resolution over prolonged courtroom battles.
